Hooper's Baptism

On June 24th 2012 Hooper was baptized.  It was such a special day!

On this day we promised to:

Acknowledge Hooper’s need of the cleansing blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and the renewing grace of the Holy Spirit.

Claim God’s covenant promises on Hooper’s behalf, and to look to the Lord Jesus Christ for his salvation, as we do for our own.

Unreservedly dedicate Hooper to God, and promise, in humble reliance upon divine grace, that we will endeavor to set before him a godly example, that we will pray with and for him, that we will teach him the sacred Scriptures, and that we will strive, by all the means that God provides us, to bring Hooper up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

The congregation sang Jesus Loves Me as we walked out-Hooper may you ALWAYS remember that Jesus loves you-this I know!

Happy Father's Day

"Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a DAD"
Trey you are an amazing dad!  You are so patient and always willing to do whatever Ann Charlotte wants you to do.  Watching you with Hooper and Ann Charlotte makes me realize how blessed we are to have you in our lives.  Daddy we love you with all of our hearts!
Happy Father's Day!

Hooper went on his first vacation!  We went to the beach with JuJu and Granddaddy.  He had a great time.  He didn't touch the sand but he liked the pool!

 Hooper found his toes!

Hooper tried rice cereal and oatmeal!  Yummy!
Hooper loves to smile!

We broke out the exersaucer!

God is Like a Skunk?

Now that I have your attention!   Ann Charlotte has been asking a lot of "hard for mommy to answer" questions.  This morning when I was feeding Hooper it went like this:

Ann Charlotte:  Mommy, how do you know God is real if we can't see him?

Mommy:  Well Ann Charlotte, we know that God loves us very much and that he made us.  We have faith in God even though we can't see him.  Do you know what faith is?

Ann Charlotte:  No.

Mommy:  Faith is when you believe something even though you can't always see it.

Ann Charlotte:  Oh, kinda like the skunk (she didn't even skip a beat).

Mommy:  What? (I had no idea what was coming next)

Ann Charlotte:  You know, like when we smelled the skunk and we never saw him.  But we knew he had been there because it was stinnnnnkkkkyyy!

Mommy:  Well, yes, like the skunk, I guess!?

Hooper's Homies

Hays was born 6 weeks after Hooper
Hill was born on the same day as Hooper
Carter was born 8 weeks before Hooper (old picture :)
Helen was born 8 weeks before Hooper

Happy Mother's Day (a few weeks late)

I had a wonderful Mother's Day this year!

Ann Charlotte "served" me breakfast at school and had the sweetest morning planned.

Yes, my lovely daughter said I weigh 0 pounds and I am 18 years old!

Trey and I went to the Grizzlies Game and then had JuJu and Granddaddy over for dinner.

Acey and Cat stopped in later that week for a visit.
Being a mother to these two lovies is the greatest honor I have.
Thank you God for this amazing gift!

Hooper Month 3

I love my bath

I love playing on my mat

My first time to church
Daddy went on his first trip since I was born.  He went to Brazil for 8 nights.  We survived!

I love my bumbo seat

Hooper is such a happy baby.  He is almost always smiling!

He rolled over on his 3 month birthday-May 10th.  We were watching him on the monitor in his bed when he did it for the first time.  He is growing so fast!
