God's Timing is ALWAYS Right

Watching Ann Charlotte play with Hooper has gotten me through the rough days and made me smile with delight on the good days.  She is a WONDERFUL big sister to him.  She entertains him when I am busy and she can always make him smile.  Even if he is crying, once he sees her and hears her sweet little voice say "Sissy is here baby brother, Sissy is here" over and over he stops crying and starts smiling.  She is a pro at fetching diapers (she knows his favorite one--too bad the entire pack isn't all baby big bird), burp cloths, blankets, you name it.  The only thing she won't help with is actually changing the diapers!

So, I was thinking tonight about God's timing.  If it were up to Trey and I, we would have had another baby about a year sooner than Hooper's arrival.  However, God's timing was just right for our family.

I know there are times when we don't understand God's timing and times when we think we know better.  This was a good reminder for me tonight that God's plan is perfect, even when it doesn't seem so in our earthly life.

This is my favorite verse right now as if you know me, I am a very anxious person.  And when things don't go according to my timeline, the anxiety grows stronger.

"Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say rejoice.  Let your reasonableness be known to everyone.  The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:4-7
This was taken today!  Hooper's first trip to church!

Eight is Great

Trey and I have been married for 8 years.  Time does fly when you are having fun!

If someone had asked me where I would like to see our family in 8 years I could not have written the story better myself-we are so blessed.  Life, of course, has its ups and downs but my cup runneth over! Our wedding song still applies..."The best is yet to come, and babe, won't that be fine!"

Out of the tree of life, I just picked me a plum.
You came along and everything starting to hum.
Still it's a real good bet, the best is yet to come.
The best is yet to come, and babe, won't that be fine.

Reason #1 to be a Mommy

Ann Charlotte:  I want to be a mommy when I grow up just like you.

Mommy:  That is great Ann Charlotte.  I bet you will be a wonderful mommy.

Ann Charlotte:  I want to be a mommy so I can say "no!"

Mommy:  What do you mean?

Ann Charlotte:  You are always telling me "no" and that I can't do things and I want to say that one day.

Mommy:  How many kids do you want?

Ann Charlotte:  I don't want any.

Fun with Acey

Acey has stayed with us many nights since "baby brother" has been born.  Here are a few of the highlights! Ann Charlotte loves having her playmate here!  She is learning that she has to share her Acey time with Hooper.

Wonderful Grandmothers!

Getting ready for the "talent show"

Ann Charlotte had a "talent show" every night before bed. She needed the
spotlight to be on her for a few minutes each day :)
