Hooper Month 6

Hooper is all smiles!   He is getting around by rolling or scooting.  Several times I have walked out of the room and come back and he is gone-completely gone!  Then I realize he is under my bed-completely!
Hooper is sitting up with a little help and he is always laughing at his sister!

The Simple Joys in Life

When I picked Ann Charlotte up in the car pool line on her first full day at Hutchison it went like this:

Ann Charlotte:  "Mom, I LOVE Hutchison!"

Mommy:  "Ann Charlotte, that makes me so happy!"

Ann Charlotte: (before I could even ask how her day was) "I ate my cake first!"

Mommy:  What?

Ann Charlotte:  I ate my cake first AND had chocolate milk!

Oh, the simple things in life that make us happy!  Dessert first and freedom from your mom dictating when you can eat dessert (only after your veggies :).  She then proceeded to say, "I am so happy you picked Hutchison for me!"  Confirmation that I needed to hear.  I think she is going to have a great year!

Two Firsts at our House

Today was Hooper's first day of Parent's Day Out at our church and it was Ann Charlotte's first day at the big girl school- Hutchison!

Hooper's teacher said he was "the best" baby and was so happy all day!  That made this mama squeal with delight!

Ann Charlotte LOVED her new school.  In just two hours (short day today) she made new friends and here were her highlights...
  • She loved Spanish
  • She loved playing with the doll house
  • She asked if she could go to Hutchison everyday!
I know our prayers were answered.  She is in the right place, and I am so excited to see what the year holds!
Eating breakfast on her "I am Special Today" plate

So excited to get there

He couldn't be left out of the excitement

Both ready to go

We got to walk her in on her first day

Daddy even joined us

Despite the Rain...

We had a wonderful vacation!  Yes, it literally rained every day for 80% of the day for 7 days straight.  But we managed to make it to the beach, the pool, go crabbing, eat lots of yummy food and make many memories.  When can we go back?
Date Night!

Sweet boy!

Always smiling!

Hmmm...the best we could do!

Yes, she is really, really high!  She did it two times and even did a flip!

We couldn't get a good family pic but this one is the best of the bunch!

Daddy and the IV!
We did make it to the beach a few times despite the rain.

This kid can sleep anywhere!

She loves the beach!  Maybe we can move to the coast :)

Oops...

I am going through our vacation photos tonight and I couldn't resist these.  Whew...what we parents go through to get the perfect photo (which surprise....doesn't exist!)   But we most certainly try to make it happen!

Seersucker Sucker....

I am a sucker for seersucker...
And don't they look cute!

True Love

Tonight when I was giving Ann Charlotte a bath she said "Mommy, I love you so much.  I even love you more than the playground."

That is true love from a 3 year old!

I just love her expression here and my mom's face.   So special!

GREAT Grandparents

Yes, Ann Charlotte and Hooper have great grandparents but they also have great-grandparents!    It is so special to see how much fun they have with them and how  much joy they bring each other.  Here are a few highlights:
